Case Study: Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)

Client: Local Professional Services Firm

Application: Application for the CO State Government to be used by all counties.

Issues: The professional services firm had a need for a software testing specialist to assist with the quality assurance and software testing aspects of the IV&V.

ProtoTest’s Solution: ProtoTest provided senior staff consultants in Quality Assurance Engineer roles and Software Testing Engineer roles. ProtoTest consultants worked hand-in-hand with the professional services firm to review documentation, evalutate deliverables, and monitor testing activities throughout the entire project.

Results: ProtoTest was able to identify software testing inconsistencies and inadequacies that caused a separate IV&V testing effort to be required. This effort includes a System Test and UAT Test in addition to the vendor testing effort.
